Sault College sells out for Gob (photos)

Apparently the last time the Canadian punks in Gob played the Sault, a fan consumed a urinal puck. In September 2008, ska punk band The Johnstones appeared on the Bondar Pavilion stage as part of Froshaplaooza in nothing but their skivvies.

In September 2008, ska punk band The Johnstones appeared on the Bondar Pavilion stage as part of Froshaplaooza in nothing but their skivvies.

These two daring acts teamed up Tuesday night at the Sault College Outback for a sold out show.

Dedicated fans stood in the cold for almost an hour to partake in the frenzied punk show.

From our vantage point, SooToday.com didn't notice anyone munching on urinal pucks.

This is a good thing.

We also didn't see any band members cavorting around in their gitch.

Depending on who you are, this may also be a good thing.

There was, however, loudness, distortion and oomph aplenty.

Definitely a good thing.

Judging by the crushing mass of fans at the front of the stage, we assume the audience shared our sentiment.

Essential tunes, including Gob's Soda, I Hear You Calling, Oh! Ellen and Give Up the Grudge, and The Johnstones' Gone For a Long Time and Bank Song remedied the crowd's frostbite despite the murmurs of annoyance prior to show time.

We're not sure what the Sault College Student Administrative Council has in store next, but this show will be a tough one to follow.

What's next?
