Two seasoned Sault Ste. Marie musicians are teaming up to celebrate their latest CD releases.

On Saturday, January 24, Algoma's Water Tower Inn will host Mark Dunn as he showcases his recording Thursday Monster, and Rusty McCarthy as he unveils Nowhere Close.

Both Dunn and McCarthy will be joined on stage by Ed Young on drums, Lindsay Pugh on bass and Lynne Reville on keyboards.

The dual CD release party kicks off at 8:30 p.m. and is free to attend.

Both Thursday Monster and Nowhere Close will be available for purchase at the event.

Dunn has been performing and recording for more than 15 years as a solo artist, and fronting Uncle OSAP and the Collection Agency, Burnt Toast, and most recently, Clay Rooster.

He is also owner/operator of Read More Books located in the former Fireball Cafe at 746 Queen Street East.

McCarthy hosts a weekly blues night (Wednesdays) at the Water Tower Inn with his band Dirty River and has performed with numerous prominent musicians, including Mary Margaret O'Hara, Allanah Myles, Dan Ackroyd, Jim Belushi, Tom Cochran, Holly Cole and Molly Johnson.

He is the proud owner The Rec. Room, a recording studio in Sault Ste. Marie, and has written and produced scores for BRAVO!'s Midsummers Night Dream, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth and Othello.
