Jolly old St. Nicolas will once again grace our downtown as the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie announces a return to the traditional format for this year's Santa Claus Parade. For the past two years, the parade has been presented in a static, drive-by format in order to adhere to COVID-19 public health and safety protocols.

This year's holiday event invites spectators to line Queen Street East from Church Street to Gore Street on Saturday, Nov. 19 beginning at 6 p.m.

“We are so excited to be returning to a traditional parade,” says chief elf coordinator, Phyllis Navidad, in a news release from Rotary. “Santa just loves to see the smiles of the children, and the wonderful creativity from the community.”

Anyone interested in being a part of the 2022 parade is encouraged to apply by downloading the application form here.
