A collaborative showcase featuring the works of renowned acrylic folk artist Ron Marks and innovative mixed media artist Gerri Proulx is coming to the Art Hub.

The Paint Paper Scissors exhibition opens Thursday.

“This exhibition has really got me pumped up,” said Marks, who is known for his vibrant and thematic paintings.

“It includes over 40 of my art pieces including Tarot cards’ Major and Minor Arcana, as well as showcasing my love of nature with acrylic paintings of flowers, ships and animals.”

Gerri Proulx – who specializes in collage, mixed media and paper art – will have over 30 pieces in the show.

In a news release, she said she’ll be happy to share her work with the community in this collaboration with Marks.

“Our joint effort in Paint Paper Scissors has been a journey of creative exploration and mutual inspiration,” Proulx stated.

Paint Paper Scissors opens on January 25 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 504 Queen St. E.
