Casting Call for Single & Sexy
Algoma U will be presenting their 6th Annual Single and Sexy," play during Welcome Week in September 2006. The play is geared to students and addresses many situations facing them who are often on their own and on a university campus for the first time.

The insightful and often humorous play depicts the lives and experiences of such students in a thought-provoking one-hour production. It delivers a lot of straight talk about sex and sexuality in all its complexity, from date rape to homophobia. It also touches on other topics such as racism, plagiarism and substance abuse.

Non-judgmental, the play helps new students get off to a good start at university by making them more aware of these issues while identifying campus and community resources available to them.

The production's brilliant mix of education and entertainment in challenging scenarios help to maintain the value of the practical messages. Students have a lot to cope with -- living independently, meeting new challenges, often struggling to meet expectations and retaining their values while building new relationships. The 'Single and Sexy" play helps them better understand these issues.

Casting Call for the following paid positions:
• 2 males 18 - 24 years of age
• 1 male should be of Asian decent
All members of the cast are required to do some singing.
