One Hot Second Stage Teaser (many photos!)

Everything about Second Stage, day one was hot...the music, the sound, the men, the women, the merch.....and, oh yea...the weather. Jeez Louise I thought I was going to expire....that is until I had Rachelle dump a bucket of ice water over my head.

Everything about Second Stage, day one was hot...the music, the sound, the men, the women, the merch.....and, oh yea...the weather. Jeez Louise I thought I was going to expire....that is until I had Rachelle dump a bucket of ice water over my head. Yep, I had my own personal wet t-shirt contest and won. I think it saved my life, actually.

But enough about me...lets talk music. Six bands in total (four of them had Lindsay Pugh...what a band slut!) playing every style under the sun...the hot hot sun...oh so hot...The heat did not slow any of the musicians down and I send the biggest of Kudos to all of them for braving that heat under the Second Stage tent just to entertain us.

Thank you to Shauna Major, The Dirty River Trio, The Granola People, The Chris Belsito Band, Al Wood and the Rhythm Section and The Gates of Winter. They all delivered stellar performances...the fact that the audience stuck it out all day is proof of that.

Thank you to George Ravlich and Andrew Lay of Crank Sound Distribution for your dedication and hard work. They run a tight ship and make things sound incredible.

A huge thank you to Lucidia, Loplops Lounge and the Speakeasy for supporting original music and putting it out there for all to enjoy.

This post is brief. There is still one whole day of music to happen, which due to my day job, I will miss most of. I will be there for 12 Gauge Ready...in my opinion, one the best and most under rated bands in the city. They will be closing the show at 10:00pm. Others performing this evening are The Harmony Sisters, Mark Dunn, The Economy Studz, Big Wheel and the Spokes and Startlefish.

For pictures of Thursdays performers, check out the photo gallery. I took about 200 pictures during the course of the day and it was difficult to decide what to include.
