'Nightswimming' helps the Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy

The Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy will host Nightswimming: A Homecoming Cabaret , on Friday, October 10 at The Grand Gardens North located at 1324 Great Northern Road (formerly the Riuniti Hall).

The Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy will host Nightswimming: A Homecoming Cabaret, on Friday, October 10 at The Grand Gardens North located at 1324 Great Northern Road (formerly the Riuniti Hall).

The evening will feature Sault performer Will Gartshore, master of ceremonies Timothy Murphy and musical director Sue Barber.

Currently residing in D.C., Gartshore has performed in dozens of theatrical productions there, and is a two-time winner of the Helen Hayes Award for Best Actor in a Musical.

Prior to his move to D.C., he lived in New York where he performed on Broadway, and has appeared in a number of productions across the United States.

Gartshore was a featured soloist during the commemoration of Stephen Sondeheim's 70th birthday at the Library of Congress, and he has written and performed numerous solo cabaret productions.

When not on stage, he lobbies the United States government for the protection of animals as a senior policy officer for the World Wildlife Fund.

Tickets for Nightswimming, available at the Community Box Office in the Station Mall, are $50 each for both a full course dinner and following show.

Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.

The show will begin at 8 p.m.

Proceeds from this event go to support the Lake Superior Watershed Conservancy and its initiatives.
