Musical Comedy Guild is proud to announce it will be staging A Christmas Carol, The Musical just in time for the holiday season November 24 – 27 at the Community Theatre Centre.

Enjoy all the nostalgia of the holidays wrapped up in this lively musical retelling! A Christmas Carol, The Musical will surprise and delight those who are familiar with the original Charles Dickens’ classic.

The ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future, Jacob Marley, Tiny Tim and Ebenezer Scrooge will all be there entertaining the entire family with a holiday experience you’ll not soon forget.

From the creators of Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid, Ragtime and Seussical: The Musical, A Christmas Carol, The Musical  is a holiday must-see, filled with beautiful melodies and memorable lyrics that families will be singing all the way home!

Thomas Brandstetter, Producer is excited that the team of Timothy Murphy, Director and Paul Dingle, Music Director will be at the helm for this premiere production in the community of Sault Ste. Marie.

This is the same team that brought the very successful musical Mary Poppins to the stage in 2015.  Joining the full-stage musical production are dancers from Elite Dance Force with special choreography by Kaitlin Pelletier and Christina Trevisan.

Discounted tickets go on sale Tuesday, August 2 at the Community Theatre Centre Box Office in the Station Mall or online at www.kctc.ca starting at 10:45 am.  Special ticket pricing will remain until September 6 when regular ticket pricing will take effect.

The four day run will include three evening performances starting at 7:30 p.m. (Thursday, November 24 – Saturday, November 26) and two matinee performances starting at 2 p.m. (Saturday, November 26 and Sunday, November 27).

Auditions will take place September 6 – 8.  Please check www.musicalcomedyguild.com in August for time, location and other audition details.

Musical Comedy Guild has a long history of supporting local charitable organizations and will be staging A Christmas Carol, The Musical in support of the Soup Kitchen Community Centre.

Theatre goers will be able to bring non-perishable food items to each performance and make donations that will go towards the local agency.  The success of last year’s run of Mary Poppins will result in a donation of $1000 towards the United Way and Sault Ste. Marie District’s 2016/17 Annual Giving Campaign.
