Music video set to shoot in the Sault

SAULT STE. MARIE - (June 25) - This summer is slated to bring a new and exciting production to Sault Ste. Marie.

A music video, Summer Nights, will be shot here the weekend of July 22 through 24.

The video, based on an original pop/rock song from local musician Ryan Byrne, will be filmed in various locations, including the waterfront boardwalk, Smokey’s Patio and Echo River Beach.

Songwriter, Ryan Byrne is thrilled to be able to shoot this music video in his home town.

“I had an inspiration when I joined the dance troop. That experience, coupled with my love of the waterfront, my childhood memories from camp and my good fortune to be surrounded by those that supported the vision, have made this project possible.”

Richard Kim’s Studio Dance Arts is supplying top-notch talent with award-winning choreographer Matthew Caruso and his senior dancers, all of whom won prestigious awards in 2010 American dance competitions.

Also on board is Jesse Souliere, a graduate of Weengushk Film Institute, who will direct the video using a Hi-Definition camera.

Once shot, editing phases will take place the following week at Weengushk.

Meanwhile, Summer Nights will be distributed locally through DVD sales, posted to YouTube, and included in a press kit distributed to EMI and MuchMusic.

In August, a five-track EP will begin its recording phases with Albert Chambers of Studio Base Bin following the shoot.

Albert has worked with successful acts such as Simple Plan and Lara Fabian.

Absolute Complete Entertainment is reaching out to the community to help support the spirit of creating art.

Its staff invites you to join the Facebook event, titled “Summer Nights EMI Press Kit,” to follow the group's progress and find out about fundraising events slated for the upcoming weeks.

One event includes a pre-production spectacular where the public can meet the artist and dancers, as well as enjoy live entertainment.
