Nominated for the 2010 Polaris Music Award, the Wooden Sky brings their award-worthy music to the Tenaris Second Stage during RotaryFest, the Sault’s Summer Festival!

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Since 2003, this Toronto collective has been pushing the limits of folk and country, adding pieces of outside influence and slowly growing their own unique sound.

It’s a sound that started in a garage in downtown Toronto and found its way into the hands of one of the most respected studios and producers in North America.

A sound that is nominated for Canada's top award for album of the year.

A sound that makes Wooden Sky who they are.

Alt-country Torontonians the Wooden Sky are a Canadian indie rock band that originated after lead singer Gavin Gardiner wrote songs for a school project while attending Ryerson University.

He formed the band with bassist Andrew Wyatt and drummer Chris Cocca, who has since left the band.

Band members now include Gardiner (vocals, guitars, harmonica), Wyatt (bass, vocals), Simon Walker (piano, vocals, guitar) and Andrew Kekewich (percussion). They are currently signed to Black Box Recordings who has released their last two records.

The Tenaris Second Stage guarantees to offer unforgettable music including the Wooden Sky.

Every note you hear on the Tenaris Second Stage will ring true with an incredible passion as every performer strives to deliver.

Be sure to catch the Wooden Sky, one of Canada’s up-and-coming bands on the the Tenaris Second Stage on Friday, July 16 at 9 p.m. on Queen Street in front of the Grand Theatre.
