Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council seeks gala submissions

The Mayor's Youth Advisory Council (MYAC) is seeking submissions for the fifth annual MYAC Youth Art Gala to be held on Saturday, April 4.  

MYAC is looking for submissions of visual art, photography and short-films by local artists between the ages of 13 and 25, along with potential musical acts to perform during the gala. Interested youth are encouraged to contact [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is March 27.  

"The gala is an opportunity for young artists, photographers, filmmakers and musicians to showcase their talents to the community at-large,” said Erin Riley, chair of MYAC. "Organized by our local youth for our local youth, the members of MYAC are proud of the continued growth of the gala, and we are looking forward to this year’s edition."  

“The gala has become a great way to provide members of our community with the chance to celebrate our talented local youth,” said Mayor Christian Provenzano. “I want to recognize MYAC for their continued leadership. I have enjoyed working with them and supporting their efforts over the past few years, and I want to encourage local youth to make a submission and to participate in what will once again be a fun evening.”
