Which explains how Sault Ste. Marie's Matheson Armstrong was providing backup percussion tonight for the African-Canadian band's lively concert at the Waterfront Holiday Inn.

"He's a drummer," says Matheson's mom Brandi. "He has a marching drum and a bongo drum."

Tonight's event was part of the 2006 Algoma Fall Festival.

Performing on Sunday at St. Mary's Theatre is Vancouver children's entertainer Norman Foote.
