Algoma Conservatory Concerts, now celebrating 30 years, is presenting local artist Hannah Lindsay with the support of other talented local musicians as part of its singer-songwriter series.

Sit back in a leather armchair and be enveloped in sound in The Loft's amazing acoustics on the evening of Saturday, Feb. 4.

This will be Lindsay’s first headlining show, the conservatory said in a news release, as she celebrates her recent/upcoming musical releases with the help and support of some of the Sault’s finest musicians in backing band Shane Storozuk, Jacob Quarrell, Anthony Marcello, and Bradley Irwin.

Openers will be Juliana Regan and Blair St. John, and special guests Frank Deresti and Josh Norling.

The evening will also include the premiere screening of Lindsay's first music video of the upcoming release, Why.

A down-to-earth soul who writes passionate, relatable music for the broken and hopeful, Lindsay is a locally established singer-songwriter from Calgary, Alberta, but Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., is the place she calls home.

In 2017, Lindsay released her debut single, Speak Your Mind and in 2020 released her first EP, A New Road.

Lindsay graduated from Algoma University with a bachelor of arts in music.

She studied performing arts majoring in drums and percussion with a focus on classical, jazz, and singer-songwriter studies.

In 2021, she graduated from Algonquin College from the music industry arts program. She has since been studying voice, writing, recording, performing, collaborating, and is involved in other local bands.
