Local artists to be featured in Alberta House

SAULT AREA ARTS COUNCIL

SAULT STE MARIE, MI - Paintings by Algoma artists will be filling both galleries in Alberta House Arts Center Apr. 1 through 29. All the exhibiting artists are members of the Algoma Art Society. 

The Algoma Art Society in Sault, Ontario, has been in existence since 1948. Twelve of its twenty members have paintings in this April Alberta House Show, which was curated by Judy Henderson. 

Exhibiting artists are Cherie Ahvenniemi, Diana Blazek, Nancy Caldwell, Phyllis Dorman, Wendy Easterbrook, Judy Henderson, Gary Manzo, Hilkka Pellikka, Heddys Stevenson, Marcella Whillans, Zoey Wood-Salomon and Mike Zavits.

Alberta House is located just south of the Soo Locks, at 217 Ferris Street in Sault, Michigan. Regular hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Admission is free. The public is cordially invited to meet the artists at the show’s reception on Saturday, Apr. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.
