It’s not too late to register for the spring session of the Algoma Conservatory of Music’s Musical Theatre Workshops.

Aimed at Saultites between the ages of 13 and 25 and directed by Denine Williams, the workshops will focus on medleys from the Broadway shows Rent and Carousel.

“A winner of the Community Builders Award in 2021, Denine Williams has been a music instructor at Korah Collegiate since the 1980s, and is an integral part of the local musical theatre community,” the conservatory said in a news release.

“She has produced an impressive number of high-calibre full musicals at Korah that have been enjoyed by thousands in the community. In addition she has made an impact on the local arts community through staging concerts, arranging cultural trips for her students, and directing the Korah Korahsters choir.”

The workshops run for an hour every Tuesday for eight weeks, starting March 19.

That will be followed by a concert at The Loft on Tuesday, May 14.
