The ancient art of pointillism has arrived at the North Branch Library.

Pointillism is the practice of applying small strokes or dots of colour to a surface so that from a distance they visually blend together and the library is offering a chance for all to try their hand at the practise.

Families are invited to explore the pointillism technique made famous by Georges Seurat and Paul Signicin in the 1800s, according to a news release. The all-ages event April 17 at 6 p.m. makes for a fun, creative and educational family night out, the release added
