Cast members with the Lake Superior State University Theatre Company ply through a first reading of Ken Ludwig's Leading Ladies, set to run on the Arts Center stage November 2-4.

The play follows Jack and Leo, two down-on-their-luck actors who hear that an old lady is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long-lost nephews.

Trouble starts when they realize the nephews are actually nieces and it's time to get out the dresses.

This is a fast-paced farce that audiences are sure to love.

Leading Ladies is the inaugural LSSU production for newly hired theater professor Jennifer Hunter, who comes to LSSU from Portland, Oregon, where she taught intro to theatre, theatre history, stage movement, and three levels of acting theory at Mt. Hood Community College.

Hunter was also artistic director for ComedySportz, a national improvisational franchise.

From left are actors Susan Kirkman, Kelby Ankerson, Kevin White, and Jamie Moreland.
