Kids, it is time to get crafty!

That's the call being put out by the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library as it invites children 3 to 13 years of age to create a bookmark for a chance to win in a contest that starts in the New Year.

"Youth are invited to pick up a blank bookmark from North Branch or James L. McIntyre Centennial Library and get creative," the library said in a news release.

Once children have completed their bookmark, they are asked to return it to one of the libraries with their name, age and phone number on the back.

A winner will be selected in each category:

  • 3-6 years
  • 7-9 years
  • 10-13 years

The winner of each category will have their bookmark distributed to patrons of the library and receive a special copy of their own bookmark, the library said.

Contest runs from Jan. 2 to 31, 2024.

A winner will be selected in each category on Feb. 12.

For more information, contact the North Branch at 705-759-5248.
