Inaugural arts gala supports families in need

On Thursday, December 10, 2015, White Pines is pleased to present the Christmas Community Arts Gala in support of local families in need.

The inaugural event features live performances from the Pinetones, the Semitones, the White Pines Concert Band, and the cast of Legally Blonde.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with food and refreshments in the school’s main foyer.

Performances will start in the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre at 7 p.m.

“We believe this event will be a positive way to celebrate the community spirit of the arts and our appreciation for the creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial volunteers who have given so much to our city,” states an event invite issued by the White Pines Art Department.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $2 for students and senior, and children aged 10 and under are admitted free.

All proceeds from the Christmas Community Arts Gala go to support Pauline’s Place and the Soup Kitchen Community Centre.
