How to look totally adorable while holding a guitar (photos)

While young Robin Kelly may not have been recruited as the newest member of the Inner City Surfers, he did give the Sault boys a quick lesson on how to look completely and utterly adorable holding a guitar.
While young Robin Kelly may not have been recruited as the newest member of the Inner City Surfers, he did give the Sault boys a quick lesson on how to look completely and utterly adorable holding a guitar.

He was just one of many local Surfers fans who came out to Foggy Notions Sunday evening to partake in a video shoot for What a Life, the first single from the Inner City Surfers' new record due out October 23, 2007.

Released on Addictive Records, the album will be distributed by Universal, which means it will be available at your local record store.

Directed by former Saultite Marcus Fryia and filmed by Zane Akoodie, the two-day video shoot involved many local spots including what Dustin Jones described as a very interesting afternoon at Studio 10.

Filming wrapped up at Foggy Notions after live performance and audience footage was completed.

During the crowd shots, the band entertained the energetic fans with a four-song set which included the single What a Life.

"We've heard the f**king song so much over the past couple of days, we hate it right now," joked Mikey Hawdon.

Following direction and having fun for the camera came naturally to the boys although they refrained from their usual naked antics.

"This is the most clothes I've ever worn in my life," announced Brad Lacell from stage.

The video's story was conceived by band members Dustin Jones and Dave Bahun and stars their long time friend, Trevor Harding.

"If this video ends up being any good, it will be because of Trevor," said Jones. "He was totally amazing."

The video portrays a day in the life of a single father under a great deal of stress who enjoys consuming adult beverages.

"It took me about five seconds to get into character," laughed Harding.

With filming now completed, the video should be set for release in a few weeks.

Keep an eye open for it on YouTube as well as Much Music.

"It'll be nice to have one thing on YouTube that doesn't make us look like a**holes," said Hawdon.
