NEWS RELEASE
DAVID M. KELLY, SCIENCE FICTION AUTHOR
*************************
Whether your tastes run to science and spaceships or swords and sorcery, authors (and car guys) David M. Kelly and Richard H. Stephens will be at the Steel City NerdCon on Sept. 29 to provide your reading fix.

It’s been a busy year for both with appearances at Sudbury’s Graphic Con, Word On The Street in Toronto and now Sault Ste Marie’s inaugural Steel City NerdCon. David also attended the Timmins Comicon in April.

Living at different ends of Ontario (David in Sudbury, Richard in Cambridge) has meant some long journeys to get to comicons, but it’s been worth it. “The Sudbury event, my very first comicon, went really well,” says Richard. ”So I’m looking forward to meeting more Northern Ontario fantasy fans when I visit the Soo.”

Outside of writing, Richard and David share a passion for Corvettes. The authors first met via a Facebook writing group when they discovered they were both in Ontario and both Corvette owners. Richard owns a yellow 2012 C6 and David a 1991 C4 ZR-1 that he calls his own personal starfighter.

Sadly, “The Minion” and “The Dragon,” (yes, they have nicknames) won’t be in attendance at NerdCon. “Corvettes just aren’t built for transporting luggage, display stands and all those boxes of books,” says Richard. Although both authors agree that it does feel a bit like being a superhero when you’re driving one!

Richard will be bringing copies of his newly released novels, Soul Forge, and Wizard of The North, to the event, as well as previous novellas. For fans of fast-paced sci-fi thrillers, David will have books 1 and 2 in his Joe Ballen series available. Meet David and Richard and find out more about their writing, or chat about cars, between 12 - 6 on Sept. 29 at 165 Queen Ste E, Sault Ste Marie.
