New Music Canada calls them “one of Canada's most exciting up and coming improv bands” <http://www.newmusiccanada.com/genres/artist_feedback.cfm?Band_Id=11723> and you can get your funk on with them at the Downbeat Monday night.

The New Shady Groove is an all original funk/jazz quartette featuring four talented young musicians currently based in Brighton Ontario and they take the stage at the Downbeat about 10 p.m., Monday, Aug. 23rd.

The group is touring to promote its first CD, 'The New Shady Groove EP' and more information is available on their website at < http://www.shadymusic.ca >.
