Opportunity to recognize Ontario artists, creative professionals and cultural organizations
All Ontarians are invited to nominate an individual or organization for the Premier’s Awards for Excellence in the Arts by December 3, 2012.
The awards are a great way to recognize an individual or an organization for their creativity and contribution to Ontario’s arts and culture.
The awards are divided into two categories (individual and organization) and are open to all disciplines including: community arts, crafts, dance, music, opera, theatre, visual and media arts, writing, book publishing, magazine publishing, digital media, film, television and sound recording.
A new or emerging artist selected by the individual winner also receives a prize.
Previous winners and finalists include:
- 2012 Artist Award: Shirley Cheechoo (Media Arts, Manitoulin)
- 2012 Arts Organization Award: Tarragon Theatre (Theatre, Toronto)
