GALLERY: Spring-themed market supports Twinkie Foundation

Running until 4 p.m., Spring Fling vendor show organizers are hoping to raise $3,000 for the non-profit at the Quattro Conference Centre today

Sixty local makers and small business owners squeezed into the Quattro Conference Centre today as the annual Spring Fling vendor show returned in support of the Twinkie Foundation.

Organized by Amanda Johnston, the market includes a wide variety of handcrafted items, spring-themed must-haves, and Mother’s Day gift ideas.

Johnston is aiming to raise $3,000 for the Twinkie Foundation, a local non-profit that supports families with travel costs when their child requires medical care out of town.

Last year, this same market raised $2,200. The year prior, they raised $1,900.

Running until 4 p.m., the Spring Fling vendor show is accepting donations at the door.

Thanks to Yummy Soy Scents and Barbs #1 Embroidery, the first 100 attendees on Saturday received goodie bags which included cookies, chocolates, wooden décor pieces, candy bracelets, and coupons for the vendors.
