Full Trailer Park cast to visit Sault. Maybe (photos, video)

Like a game of Where's Waldo? , spotting actor Jonathan Torrens at Smack Daddy's Friday night definitely required a sharp eye and a healthy dose of patience.
Like a game of Where's Waldo?, spotting actor Jonathan Torrens at Smack Daddy's Friday night definitely required a sharp eye and a healthy dose of patience.

The portrayer of The Trailer Park Boys' J-Roc was literally engulfed in a sea of Sault fans as he graciously shook hands, signed autographs (a few of which were on body parts), and accepted kudos.

A few fans even had him calling their buddies and/or children from their cell phones.

I had to exercise my holy-cow-is-that-Britney-style paparazzi skills in order to snap a few shots of the 15-year veteran of Canadian entertainment.

"I expected a good response," said Smack Daddy's owner Boomer Braido. "I've booked wrestlers. I've booked King Kong Bundy, Rhino, Gold Dust and I've gotten a good response. But I've never seen a response like this in my life."

Earlier Friday evening, Torrens was happily meeting and greeting during a much lower-key VIP pizza party hosted at the Esquire Club.

SooToday.com's Video Man About Town, Tyler Simpson and I nabbed Torrens for an up close and personal interview, seen here.

Braido hopes to bring the whole Trailer Park Boys cast to Sault Ste. Marie next year.

"He (Torrens) loves the Sault," said Braido. "He's been in Sudbury, North Bay and Timmins and he said the Sault is the most hospitable place he's been at."

Fingers crossed.
