Four and Friends Art Sale to take place this weekend

The popular "Four and Friends Art Sale" opens Friday, July 8th and runs through until July 10th at the Bruce Mines Community Hall.

Four and Friends is a unique art show which gives the public an opportunity to see the works of professional and emerging artists. "The Four" artists highlighted at this sale are Doug Bradford, Linda Finn, Doug Hook and John Keast. The four very well-known artists have invited twelve artist friends to exhibit with them for this year's sale. Each year's guests give the show a fresh and dynamic energy.

Joining "The Four" this year are Adriane Bondar, Sheila San Cartier, Pat Gladu, Gail Giuliani, Ellen Hadath, Gail LaCasse, Susan Lou, Jane Meyer, Karen Nisbet, Doris Pavelich, Hilkka Pellikka, Taimi Poldmaa and Cathy Redmond.

The northen landscape has inspired many of the artists and each is noted for a distinctive style and vibrant use of colour. The artists' media range from pen and ink through acrylics to oils as well as sculpture.

"Four and Friends" has a reputation for displaying quality work and provides the public with the unique opportunity to meet the varied artists as most are in attendance throughout the weekend to discuss their work.

Hours for the sale are between 10:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
