Former Lake Superior State University adjunct music professor and Sault (Ontario) Symphony Orchestra principal violinist Oleg Pokhanovski joins three colleagues from the University of Manitoba for a 7:30 p.m., April 11, performance in the LSSU Arts Center, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

The Desautels quartet - comprised of faculty from and named for Manitoba's Desautels School of Music - features cellist Minna Rose Chung along with pianists Edmund Dawe and Judy Kehler Siebert.

Pokhanovski is the School's professor of violin.

The program offers works for violin and cello with piano accompaniment, as well as piano trios, by Schoenfield, de Falla, Hatzis, Piazzola, and Paganini.

The recital is rounded out by a quartet for violin, cello and two pianos by H. Berens.

The concert includes an intermission.

Run a web search on "LSSU Arts Center" to purchase tickets online, which are $10 and also available at the door.

Admission is free for children as well as for college and high school students with official identification.

The evening's proceeds will benefit the Arts Center Performance Fund.
