Entomica hosts 'Valentines, Vixens, and Vaccines' this weekend

Entomica Insectarium has announced that the first event in its Boosters and Misinformation series will be Valentines, Vixens, and Vaccines this Saturday at the Queen of Hearts Club.

The event will feature Timothy Murphy as Joan Rivers, and performances from local drag queens Lana Von Archer and Back Door Betty.

The evening is presented in cooperation with the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CACS) #ScienceUpFirst initiative.

Entomica Insectarium is announcing upcoming events for their Boosters and Misinformation awareness series in partnership with the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CACS) #ScienceUpFirst initiative. Events will run from Feb. 11 through March 15 with more details to come.

#ScienceUpFirst is a national science centre initiative that aims to collect local opinions and provide the public with current and relevant information regarding the spread of human viruses. The initiative also focuses on determining the difference between disinformation and misinformation.

Valentines, Vixens, and Vaccines (Feb. 11) – The first of four events in the #ScienceUpFirst series and will be hosted by Entomica and Timothy Murphy as Joan Rivers in collaboration with Sault Pride. Performances by local drag queens Lana Von Archer and Back Door Betty will begin at 9:45 p.m. followed by a #ScienceUpFirst presentation and lastly a dance. The event will take place at the Queen of Hearts Club located at 68 Dennis St. at 9 p.m. Admission is free with a $10 cover to any attendees arriving after 10:30 p.m. Entomica would like to extend a special thank-you to Susan Rajamaki and Sault Pride for all of their hard work and support in making this event possible.
