Come rock at RotaryFest Stage Two this weekend

This Saturday, SooToday Stage Two will be rocking on the waterfront as part of RotaryFest, the Sault’s Summer Festival! Adding to the fun atmosphere will be the introduction of Stage Two Market – featuring a select number of vintage and up-cycled vendors just south of the Art Gallery of Algoma.

1 p.m.: Planet Rock – DJ Seith and MC St. James will have you up on your feet with their energetic sound.

1:30 p.m.: Jillian Katzenback – 19-year-old Jillian Katzenback is an up-and-coming alternative pop singer/songwriter freshly back from Austin, Texas.

2:30 p.m.: The Crossroad Magdalenes – Greg Maclachlan and Christina Foster are a guitar duo blending alt country and old folk styles with new twists and cool harmonies. Aaron Dunn adds a tremendous groove with his unique percussion set up.

3:30 p.m.: Hannah Lindsay – Hannah Lindsay takes inspiration from her surroundings and experiences to deliver original Pop/Folk works alongside Shane Storozuk and Beau Whitfield.

4:30 p.m.: Peach Thieves – A funky jazz/rock trio consisting of former Algoma University music students playing a variety of original music as well as classic jazz standards with a modern twist.

5:30 p.m.: Jack Pine – Canadian Folk Music Awards nominated Jack Pine plays acoustic guitar and mandolin and spits wry words.

7 p.m.: Northwest – Northwest crafts anthemic, melodic rock and roll songs with a punk rock edge that will be sure to raise some fists in the air.

8 p.m.: K.I.C.K. – With a wide range of sound from danceable to rockin’, K.I.C.K. (or “Keep It Cool Kids”) has music that tells stories of growing up in Northern Ontario, love, hate and bank robberies.

RotaryFest, the Sault’s Summer Festival will be taking place in Clergue Park July 18 to 20. Savour the lip-smackin' BBQ at Ribfest, boogie to continuous free entertainment on our two music stages, get hands-on and creative in the Tenaris PlayZone, jump and bounce in the Northern Dental Care Inflatable Park, delight in the family memories being created and so much more at RotaryFest!
