Chuck Labelle rocks Wawa at annual Christmas concert

For more than 25 years, singer has been spreading holiday joy to staff and students at Saint-Joseph

For more than a quarter-century, Franco-Ontarian singer Jean-Guy "Chuck" Labelle has been bringing the energy to École Saint-Joseph in Wawa.

On Dec. 11, the Mattawa singer-songwriter held his annual Christmas concert for staff and students from kindergarten to Grade 12.

Labelle has been in the music industry his entire life. He has recorded eight French albums and loves performing at Christmas, a news release says.

During his musical career, which spans some 40 years, Labelle has written and produced more than 150 original songs. In 2015, he was awarded the Prix Hommage award from the Association des professionnels de la chanson et de la musique.

The show was also attended by staff and students from neighbouring École St-Joseph, who travelled from Dubreuilville.
