Tuesday, July 7, 2009 will see the country music legend hit the Essar stage during one of his 11 upcoming Canadian tour dates.

Tickets, $73 for prime floor seats and $63 for regular floor and bowl seats, are currently on sale of the Essar Centre Box Office and on line at www.essarcentre.ca.

You may also charge by phone by calling toll free 1-866-775-9422.

Regular box office hours are Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In celebration of his 40-plus years of touring Canada, the incomparable Charley Pride returns to Canada for select concerts in Canada in the summer of 2009.

The June/July tour will visit Saskatoon, Dawson Creek, Penticton, Sault Ste. Marie, Hamilton, Peterborough, Ottawa, Yarmouth, Halifax, St. John’s NL and will return to Edmonton, by popular demand after selling out two shows earlier this year. 

Tickets for Peterborough and Dawson Creek go on sale this Friday, October 24th at 10 a.m.

All other markets go on sale Saturday, October 25th.

With an amazing 36, #1 singles to his credit, and album sales in excess of 70 million, Charley Pride concerts are back-to-back hits including Crystal Chandelier, All I Have to Offer You is Me, Does My Ring Hurt Your Finger, Kiss An Angel Good Morning and Kaw-Liga to mention just a few.

In 2007 the legendary country music star released ,em>Pride and Joy – a collection of gospel music, featuring God’s Colouring Book, with Dolly Parton, Amazing Grace, Just A Closer Walk With Thee and Family Bible featuring Willie Nelson. 

Also included is ,em>Jesus, It’s Me Again, penned by Canadian Dick Damron.

Pride has played to sold-out crowds from coast-to-coast throughout his distinguished career, garnering rave reviews city after city. 

His rich baritone voice and engaging stage presence have made him a concert favourite.

A proud member of the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame, a Grammy and Country Music Award winner, Charley Pride’s music is timeless and treasured. 

While it is an over-used phrase, the Texas born artist truly embodies the phrase ‘living legend’ – no one before him or since has made his or her mark, quite like Charley Pride.
