Casting call for local film production

Living Pictures is now casting for The Lighter Side of Being Buried Alive, a feature length comedy that explores the ups and downs of living with a phobia.

The film, slated to begin shooting in late January 2011, will showcase both local talent and locations.

An open casting call will be held Sunday, December 19, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sault Theatre Workshop (121 Pittsburg Avenue).

A wide variety of speaking roles are available to be filled.

We are looking for both males and females, ranging in age from 23 to 65 (give or take a few years).

Portfolio pictures are appreciated, but not necessary.

If you are only available within a certain timeframe on Sunday, please say so in your email and we will attempt to accommodate.

Depending on the response, some may be asked to come at later times to minimize wait times and over-crowding.

Our team is comprised of a talented group of local individuals who have worked on a variety of stage and film projects over the years.

Living Pictures is the umbrella under which these members have pooled their creative talents to collaborate on the The Lighter Side of Being Buried Alive.

Recently, Sault Ste. Marie has seen a burgeoning film industry growing, with several independent feature length and short films using our city as a backdrop.

Buried Alive will feature the naturally gifted talent found in our own backyard, utilizing 100 percent local cast and crew.
