The 44th edition of the Ontario Winter Carnival Bon Soo opens this Friday, February 2 with official opening ceremonies at 7 p.m. at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion.
Opening night festivities include the following:
- Free hot chocolate courtesy of Tim Hortons Sault Ste. Marie.
- Fireworks display, sponsored by OLG/Casino Sault Ste. Marie.
- Entertainment, The Essentials & Elvis Tribute sponsored by Algoma Steel.
- Inflatable park sponsored by Lock City Dairies.
Admission to opening night is with a Bon Soo button, available for $5 at the souvenir store in Station Mall or at various local businesses.
A few of the other attractions on opening weekend are as follows:
Saturday, February 3
Tim Hortons Winter Playground at Bellevue Park
Official opening at 10:30 a.m.
Splash & Boots Live - a concert for the whole family Holiday Inn Ballroom
2 show times: 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Family Dance - sponsored by Cross Country Automotive
Best Western Great Northern
8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Doors open at 7 p.m.
