NEWS RELEASE

IN YOUR EYES PROJECTS

*************************
In Your Eyes Projects invites you to attend auditions for God of Carnage, the brutally entertaining and hilarious Triple Tony Award winning play by Yasmina Reza.

About the playwright

Yasmina Reza has been called "a born satirist".

Her works have been translated into more than thirty languages and include “Art” and God of Carnage, both winners of the Tony Award for Best Original Play.

The film adaptation of the latter, Carnage, was directed by Roman Polanski in 2011 starring Christoph Walz, Jodie Foster, Kate Winslett and John C. Reilly.

Reza originally trained as an actress (at the renowned Ecole internationale de theatre Jacques Lecoq) and has claimed that this background has informed her writing.

Says playwright David Ives of Reza's work: "Half the reason her plays get done is because actors want to do them… there's a crackling surface there for a performer."

The story: Following an after-school fight between their two boys, two sets of parents meet for the first time. But all attempts at civilized discussion about the incident over coffee and cake quickly devolve into truly irrational behavior in this fast, furious and smart comedy of manners ... without the manners.

Directors Loretta Durat and Joseph Lauzon warmly welcome actors interested in one of four dynamic roles (2 males/2 females) to audition February 10 and 11 from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. in the W.W. Baldwin Auditorium at THE TECH, 130 Wellington Street East (formerly known as St. Mary's College).

Performances of God of Carnage will run at THE TECH  February 10-13, 2016 and will mark the company's second production of their inaugural season.

David Mamet's Oleanna, directed by Joseph Lauzon and Loretta Durat featuring actors Brent Vallee and Alex Briglio, had a highly successful run of shows in October.

In April, the company invites guest director Richard Howard who will lead Samuel Beckett's iconic Waiting For Godot.

Auditions dates for Waiting For Godot will be announced later in November.
