Dreamscape Films LLC's new drama series 'The Interior' to use Internet for casting call and talent vote

The creators of 'A Foreign Affair' recruit talent through the web, giving fans a vote in who will be starring

Los Angeles, CA - Dreamscape Films, LLC has announced a unique, worldwide casting call for its new drama series The Interior via the Internet.

The new project by the creators of the Sundance feature A Foreign Affair revolves around a young religious couple that feels a calling to become jungle missionaries.

The series starts shooting early 2007 in the Amazon rainforest, and takes a new approach to casting where any visitor at TheInterior.tv is invited to upload an audition scene.

However, the interactive nature of the project does not stop there; once top candidates for each role in The Interior are established, viewers worldwide will be able to vote for their favorite candidates.

"Obviously, we have no clue who will be the stars in our series, but with our approach we do know that whoever they are, they'll already be fan favorites," says co-creator Helmut Schleppi. "We believe the Internet provides a whole new source for finding acting talent. Our mantra to aspiring actors is 'don't scale the gates of Hollywood, walk around them."

The Interior is created by Geert Heetebrij and Helmut Schleppi, a writing-directing team well-known for creating entertainment involving ordinary people.

Their first feature film A Foreign Affair (aka DVD title: 2 Brothers & A Bride) featuring David Arquette, Tim Blake Nelson, and Emily Mortimer, was filmed in St. Petersburg, Russia during a real 'romance tour' with actual would-be brides and would-be husbands functioning as extras.

The movie premiered at the Sundance Film Festival (2003) and opened in select US theaters in 2004, and has since been distributed worldwide.

In the same vein, much of The Interior will be shot at actual jungle locations, with local natives functioning as extras.
