The Sault Ste. Marie chapter of Amnesty International, in partnership with Loplops and the Art Gallery of Algoma, is presenting "A Celebration of Hope", a collection of works by local artists, musicians and poets. Each piece focuses on the theme of hope, compassion and compassionate action, honouring Amnesty’s 44 years of work for human rights throughout the world.

The official Artists' Opening, with music and poetry, will be held on Thursday, May 5th, starting at 7:00 pm, at Loplops Lounge. The Art Exhibit will be on display at Loplops for the entire month of May. The Closing Celebration on Amnesty’s Anniversary, Saturday, May 28th at 8:00 pm.

This event is being held in conjunction with Amnesty International month. Loplops has teamed up with local representatives to bring light to this great and much needed cause. Many local musicians, artists and writers have submitted work so please come out and help them make a difference. It starts with a community and spreads from there.
