2 scruffy dudes, 1 really hot babe totally get it on (photos)

Another highly anticipated night of debaucherous rock and roll courtesy of the Inner City Surfers was very well attended last night (Friday) at Foggy Notions. One problem. The Surfers weren't there.
Another highly anticipated night of debaucherous rock and roll courtesy of the Inner City Surfers was very well attended last night (Friday) at Foggy Notions.

One problem.

The Surfers weren't there.

The Sault's prodigal sons fell victim to the curse that plagues every touring band, experiencing van troubles and winding up stranded in Sudbury.

And as a wave of disappointment washed over the crowd and people discussed vacating the venue, two scruffy dudes and a really hot babe walked on stage.

With the softly spoken, simple announcement, "The Inner City Surfers asked us to be here," the motley trio launched some of the loudest, roughest, most powerful southern-tinged rock and roll this country has ever produced.

The band was Toronto/New Orleans-based C'mon.

People halted mid-step and stood dumb-struck, frozen in the grip of the sheer power that was exploding from stage.

It was a completely unexpected yet pleasant surprise, indeed.

C'mon are; Katie Lynn Campbell (Nashville Pussy) on bass, Dean Dallas Bentley (Monster Voodoo Machine, Damn 13, All Systems Go) on drums and Ian Blurton (Change of Heart, Blurtonia, Bionic) on vocals and guitar.

Formed in 2003, C'mon have been writing, recording and tearing through tours tirelessly ever since, sharing stage time with MC5/DTK, The Kills, Danko Jones, Death From Above 1979, The Weakerthans,, Maximum RNR and countless others.

They proudly side-step modern technology, choosing vintage instruments and analogue recording techniques to compliment their grass-roots approach to marketing, promotion and everything else.

As it states in their MySpace bio, "We drive The Freedom Van, We take free rides on freeways, We set it up just to rock it out and then tear it down. We sleep later. Then we do it again. C'mon does not endorse videos but there's live clips at youtube and whatnot. You can probably download our records somewhere too. Our new record Bottled Lightning of an All Time High is done and we are just trying to figure out how to get it out there as we don't work with MapleMusic anymore. We are not that f**king puppet band. They must be destroyed."

Look out Gordie Johnson, your throne is about to be usurped.
