Ren McCormack's battle with Reverend Shaw Moore to win the right to host a high school prom is brought to vivid light as the Musical Comedy Guild (MCG) presents a stage adaptation of the 1984 hit movie Footloose.

Directed and choreographed by Timothy Murphy, Footloose opens at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre on Wednesday, November 26 at 8 p.m. and runs nightly until Saturday, November 29.

With musical direction from Steve Burgess, the MCG's production features many of the songs from the original movie, including Holding Out For a Hero, Almost Paradise and naturally Footloose.

Starring Nicholas Sarlo as Ren McCormack, Tania Castellani as Ariel Moore and Chuck Holgate as Reverend Shaw Moore, the show also features Nathan Albidone as Cowboy Bob, Laurie Anne Ryan as Vi Moore, Sam Boileau as Willard Hewitt and Ryan Byrne as Chuck Cranston.
