Five empty bottles of Jagermeister and a bar completely sold out of beer. These are tell-tale signs of a successful CD release party.
Five empty bottles of Jagermeister and a bar completely sold out of beer.

These are tell-tale signs of a successful CD release party.

Such was the case Saturday night at Foggy Notions as Brad Lacell, Dustin Jones, Dave Bahun and Mikey Hawdon of the Inner City Surfers celebrated the release of their fourth CD.

The bar was at capacity from the get go and the hungry fans kept the party thumping even as the bar's beer supply dwindled.

By the end of the night there were almost as many audience members on stage as on the dance floor.

There may have also been a but of nakedness happening.

Have a look at the photo gallery below to see for yourself.

The Surfers played crowd pleasers like Booze n' Doobs, The Quest, Screwed and Won't Belong which have all been re-recorded and included on the latest release.

Newer compositions such as Pickin' From the Country, Here's to the Days, Never Ender Bender and What a Life are standing up and challenging old standbys for the title of fan favourite.

The self-titled album became available for purchase through iTunes, the Addictive Records website and stores across the country on October 23.

But everyone knows that nothing is official until a release party happens in the band's hometown, right?

While the Surfers have always embraced many genres - punk, surf, country, rock - previous albums, although charming in their diversity and skillfully composed and executed, skip from one style to another.

With this newest release, the boys have harmonized their many influences, captured the intensity of their live show and crafted the next best party album.

It is sex, drugs and rock n' roll from beginning to end and sitting still is not an option.
