(12 photos) Divorcees get dumped, hell hath no fury...

So what do you get when the only divorced member of the Divorcees abandons his bandmates at the Quebec border? Three very talented musicians, determined to complete their cross-Canada tour with or without what they referred to as "the Princess.
So what do you get when the only divorced member of the Divorcees abandons his bandmates at the Quebec border?

Three very talented musicians, determined to complete their cross-Canada tour with or without what they referred to as "the Princess."

I'm not making this up.

The Divorcees quit their jobs and left Moncton on what they thought was a unified mission to bring their gritty country sound to the rest of Canada.

As Alex Madson, Denis "Turtle" Arsenault and Brock Gallant lunched at a diner on the Quebec border, they began to worry as an uncomfortable amount of time passed and singer/guitar player Jason Haywood still had not joined them inside.

After a short investigation, a note was discovered on the windshield of their truck stating Haywood "could not handle this" and he had hightailed it home.

Disappointed, concerned and a little ticked off, they continued without the Princess and after a missed gig in Toronto and almost getting snowed in at North Bay, the Divorcees rolled into Loplops and delivered the dusty goods with the fury and fire of a band scorned.

Singer and guitar player Alex Madson bravely stepped up to the plate to take over all the vocals and set aside his electric guitar, opting play acoustic for the evening.

It was Haywood's acoustic guitar Madson played and I'll bet everything I own that he'll never see it again.

And I own a lot of stuff.

The Divorcees aptly concealed the fact that an integral member was missing as they played three boot-stoompin' sets of both originals and covers, including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Dwight Yokum, Hank Williams and AC/DC.

Yes, AC/DC.

Between sets they mingled discussing their need for a new guitar player, life in New Brunswick and the similarities between funk and country music.

They made a lot friends Friday night and I have just received word that they have already found a replacement for the Princess and predict a very successful tour.

Friday the 13th had reared its ugly head and the three remaining Divorcees beat it down with a vengeance fueled by the betrayal of a friend.

Princess, besides your acoustic guitar, you have no idea what you're missing.
