LETTER: So where is this 'catch-up' money we were supposed to get?

SooToday received the following letter from a frustrated mother still waiting for her government payment.

I wanted to talk about these magical 'catch-up payments' that many of us parents still have not received.

I applied as soon as it was released in October because my daughter needed new snow pants and gloves. It was exciting to think we would get help with those expenses as winter gear is not cheap.

By December nothing had come of it. I called the phone number they provided and was told they would put a rush on it to speed up the process of getting the payment.

By February still nothing. I called once more to explain how long it had been and was basically told to stop calling and for people who applied in October, they've been trapped in some kind of backlog.

So here we are, March and there is still no sign of this catch-up payment that was supposed to help us buy school supplies for our daughter. At this rate I'll be buying next years school supplies if this money ever makes it to us.
