LETTER: Public deserves details on downtown police patrols

SooToday received the following letter to the editor from reader Kerry Diotte in response to the article: Sonny Spina grilled after requesting details on police patrols downtown.

I was dismayed to see the pushback City Councillor and Police Services board member Sonny Spina got from two board colleagues for merely asking details on police patrols in the downtown.

Spina was merely asking for information the public wants to know and has a right to know.

We need more politicians like Spina willing to represent the public and fewer who think they know what’s best for us all.

Keep up the good questions and hard work, Sonny!
