Re: Group Health Centre president among Sault residents who donated to anti-vaccine mandate convoy

I find this hard to believe.

In my opinion it is so disappointing, to say the least, that someone in that position should:

(a) be against mandated vaccines in a pandemic,

(b) be willing to ignore the decisions of public health experts and elected government officials,

(c) be inspired by the actions of the truckers which were so juvenile and disrespectful, and

(d) be willing to fund what was, by that time, known to involve white supremacists and USA extremists.

In addition:

The convoy uses the words “freedom of choice” as if such freedom is an absolute and unquestionable right.

In my opinion they reveal a profound lack of understanding of how democracy works and the communitarian values of Canada’s constitution and culture.

Moreover, they seem to want American style libertarianism with Canadian style healthcare, though I doubt they’d understand or acknowledge that.
