LETTER: Downtown residents need reasonably priced groceries

The rich neighbourhood gets the cheap places while the poor neighbourhood gets the expensive place or nothing

SooToday received the following letter about equal access to fairly priced food.

I'm writing in to see if anyone has a solution to a huge problem.

Since Walmart has relocated away from Station Mall, where do the downtown residents without vehicles on a budget shop for groceries?

We desperately need the same opportunities for reasonably priced food.

The rich neighbourhood gets the cheap places while the poor neighbourhood gets the expensive place or nothing. Very, very, poor planning on the city's part.

And they wonder why crime is on the rise.
