Letter: Attention union members

This is a message to union members, working hard, trying to make a good life here in Northern Ontario. Steel workers, iron workers, health care workers, teachers, you name it. You've all contributed to the life we enjoy here in Northern Ontario, and I thank you all!

Well for years, the unions have urged you to support the NDP. Have you ever really asked yourself why? Why do I vote for these guys? What have they really done for Northern Ontario?

Something came up in my news feed today from the CBC that I really have to mention. The NDP is having a federal leadership race, with four finalists, one of which is Northern Ontario's own Charlie Angus. It was said by Bud Wildman, former NDP MPP that any of these four would do a good job, so one would expect that the current NDP MPP's with Northern Ontario ridings, would support Angus as a show of solidarity with their Northern Ontario brother. It only makes sense that Charlie Angus, would do more for Northern Ontario than any of the other three choices from Quebec, Manitoba, and the Toronto area. Well as it turns out, NDP Algoma-Manitoulin MPP, Mike Mantha, is supporting Toronto area MPP Jagmeet Singh, not Northern Ontario's Charlie Angus. Ask yourself if that would be in the best interest of Northern Ontario.

I guess I just ask that you take a good unbiased look at the party that I've gotten behind in a very big way - The Northern Ontario Party. The NOP, unlike the NDP and all the others, is the ONLY party that is only concerned with the best interests of Northern Ontario, not Toronto, where the other parties get most of their votes from.

As President of the Northern Ontario Party, I can promise you, yes promise, not a Toronto political promise but a real promise, that if you vote for and elect a Northern Ontario Party candidate in your riding, He or She will, without a doubt, be the strong voice for Northern Ontario, for your riding, for you, that has been lacking for so very long. None of the other parties are in a position to be able to do that, because they are ALL Toronto based parties who's main concern is getting votes in the GTA. We are only concerned with Northern Ontario, and the people who live here. We want a better life for our children, and our children's children. We expect you do as well.

One final comment: The Northern Ontario Party is committed to representing our constituents first, before the party. Before any vote in the Ontario Legislature, an NOP MPP would be required to poll their constituents and then vote according to their constituents wishes. Not according to party demands, and not according to their own wishes, but only according to their constituents wishes. Kind of a cool idea. A party that will actually represent the people of Northern Ontario. Please consider putting your support behind your Northern Ontario Party candidate in the 2018 Provincial Election.
