A year has passed and yet I still have trouble finding the right words to say.
I miss you, I love you, and wish I could hug you so much today.
I know you wouldn't want your little girl to be sad on her birthday.
Instead I will think about all the good times we had watching the kids play, all the hockey games we watched, all the music we listened to together, or when you would just talk to me when I didn't have the words to say.
Your grandchildren miss you dearly, but know this mama will make sure they're okay!
Just like you when they were around, brighten up a room like a beautiful bouquet.
Although a year has went by, it feels like it has been nearly a decade, for it appears that time stood still as the universe continued on its way.
I could carry on and on but I know you rather me have a good birthday.
I love you, I miss you a little bit more today.
