Marion Giles January 2, 1939 - November 9, 2019
It’s been one full year since our family lost our very centre, the anchor and Matriarch of our family. A Wife and companion to Peter Giles for 58 years; Mom and best friend to Daughters April and Andrea; Older Sister to Margaret in England, fun and fabulous Nana to Kristy, Jenna, Chase and Aria. She enjoyed many wonderful friendships as well as life long relationships with the many Colleagues, students and families she met through her 35 years as a dedicated, enthusiastic, creative and forward thinking Teacher.
We would like to thank each and everyone who helped us get through this difficult year. To those who sent cards and generously made donations, we have read each and every one of your messages and appreciate it so much. To those who brought food and gifts, we are so grateful. This turned out to be so helpful! To all who came to Mom’s Celebration of Life, it was wonderful to see you all and we were so comforted by your presence that day. To those who spoke and shared their thoughts and memories, we are so touched and appreciative. I know Mom would’ve just loved everything you said! We would also like to thank our City Police and EMT’s who helped us on that terrible morning. Thank you sincerely to La-na Fragomeni and Zak Good of Arthur Funeral Home, your patience, professionalism and good work on our behalf was so appreciated.
Mom’s humour, her positive outlook, sense of fun and outspoken ways are so missed but will hopefully endure as qualities within our family going forward.
Thanks again from our family to all, we are grateful for friends and community.
