The Day God took You Home...
A million times I've needed you,
A million times I've cried,
If love alone could have saved you,
You never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly,
In death I love you still,
In my heart you hold a place no one else can ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you,
But you didn't go alone,
A part of me went with you,
The Day God took You home.

Mom, you always told me... that you give thanks to those who hurt you, they make you a stronger person. You give thanks to those who loved you, they make your heart bigger. You give thanks to those who care, they make you feel important. You give thanks to those who show concern, they let you know they care. You give thanks to those who left you, they showed you not everything is forever. You give thanks to those who stayed, they showed you the true meaning of loyalty. You give thanks to those who entered your life, they helped you become a better person.
With those words, you asked me to move forward with my own family, Debbie my wife and three children, Francesco, Aryana and Ava, to take care of them and never look back. One thing is certain, you were the glue that held the family together. The greatest lesson you taught me through your own experiences is that at some point, you realize that some people can stay in your heart but not your life. We miss you and love you dearly Nani. We know you are watching over us from heaven.
With Love, Your Son,
Nick
