What is in a year? 4 seasons, many holidays, tons of celebrations and ups and downs of life shared with family and friends. But a year without you was so much more. It was the hardest change of seasons, remembering the fun things we did and shared that each season brought. It was trying to smile through the holidays and try to be strong knowing that so many of these were your favourite holiday. It was trying to remember all the traditions you taught us, the recipes you cooked with love, and all the little things you did that made the holidays so special for us. A year of celebrations and rough patches that we had to do without you by our side. The first person, our best friend, that we would run to share our great news or our rock and calmness at our lowest of times. It was a year of not hearing your voice, not seeing your contagious smile, not feeling your hugs and kisses, and not being able to tell you we love you the whole universe and beyond every day! So yes, what is a year? It was the opportunity to have 365 days to live every day to the fullest and to celebrate you and celebrate everything you represented. To live the life you have asked us to live. To live together with faith, love, hope, and happiness. To live for the moment and in the moment as you don't know how many moments you will have. You will always be with us Lil Red, our angel, our best friend, wife and Mom. We GROOT this! Love your Simple kind of man, your husband Merrill.
