Strawberry season is upon us, so if you’re someone who enjoys the sweet summer treat, the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site is hosting a Strawberry Social from July 16-18.

“Because of the pandemic, we will be having time slots and people will need to reserve theirs ahead of time, and let us know when they would like to come. We want to make sure everyone is safe entering our buildings and going out to our front lawn,” said Kathy Fisher, supervisor and curator at Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site. “We will be serving heritage shortcake with fresh strawberries from Thomson Farms and Twin Rivers Farm in Thessalon, and whipped cream. We will also have tea, coffee, and strawberry lemonade.”

Tickets for the social are $12.00, and dates and times can be reserved for July 16, 17 or 18 at 12:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. A take-out option is also available for $10.00.
